A Letter From Mayor Frank Jackson

Mayor Frank Jackson wrote a letter to the public to address how the City’s progress has been overshadowed by the recent events, including the release of the Department of Justice report. Mayor Jackson states that “the majority of the men and women who protect and serve our City do so with the highest level of integrity and with each of your best interests at heart. This is in no way an indictment on them and I applaud them…however, I want to be clear that those officers who are not following the policy, procedures, and general police orders, and who do not conduct themselves in a professional manner that our citizens deserve, will be held accountable and, if appropriate, terminated…change can only happen if we remove the fog of confusion and the noise of chaos. In order to make our City great, we must secure the constitution privilege’s of every citizen and Cleveland police officer.” To read the full letter from Mayor Frank Jackson check out the straight from city hall blog, c-l-e city hall dot com.
