On this episode of Junior Achievement, TV20 host Leah Haslage sat down with Joe Faulhaber, President of Junior Achievement of Greater Cleveland and Paul Ettorre, Community Development Relationship Manager for Northern Ohio with Woodforest National Bank.

Founded in 1941, Junior Achievement’s goal is to bring entrepreneurship, work readiness, and financial literacy to the K-12 students of the United States through their volunteer and mentorship programs.

Junior Achievement has worked with more than 250 schools in the Northern Ohio area, bridging the gap between modern education and the skills necessary to prepare youth for future job endeavors.

They accomplish this through a large amount of volunteer work, whether it be business owners, retirees, or even just someone looking to get back into a classroom setting, Junior Achievement provides teaching opportunities for all who are interested to pass on their knowledge.

Junior Achievement also hosts a number of events meant to continue this process outside the classroom. One such event is the yearly Junior Achievement Field Day, where dozens of Northern Ohio companies come together for a miniaturized job fair, hosted right here in Downtown Cleveland, giving students the opportunity to meet and speak to the individuals behind some of Ohio’s most successful business.
