Alright it’s time for your TV20 Sports Report! The Cleveland Indians have acquired outfielder Quincy Latimore from the Pittsburgh Pirates in exchange for right-handed pitcher Jeanmar Gomez. Gomez was designated for assignment on January 2nd. Latimore, who will turn 24 on February 3rd, spent the 2012 season in the Pirates organization. He has also seen significant time at all 3 outfield positions throughout his minor league career.
The Indians are on the right track this off-season by making early moves to get more talent on this roster. For the past two seasons the Indians have started off fire hot and cooled down by mid-season. Hopefully the moves they make this year will keep them hot the entire season.
