Cleveland Peace Memorial (1:00)

It was a solemn and dreary day as people gathered at Huntington Park to remember the men and women in Blue who lost their lives in the line of duty. In addressing the crowd, Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson expressed his sympathies for the lives lost.


NEORSD Westerley Storage Tunnel (3:15)

The Westerley Storage Tunnel, located at the corner of Scranton and University Roads, is a main mining site where the 4th of 7 tunnels is being constructed under Project Clean Lake, a 3 Billion dollar infrastructure adjustment program.


James H. Walker Turner Graduation Ceremony (4:45)

The James H. Walker Turner School of Construction Management is celebrating 50 years and a new class of graduates. The Class of 2019 were presented their certificates at the Cleveland City Hall Rotunda, and Mayor Frank Jackson commended each of them for their accomplishment.


East Side Market Grand Opening (7:15)

The New Eastside Market on St. Clair and East 105th street is a healthy living urban center featuring a full service grocery, a health and wellness center and a state of the art cooking demonstration kitchen. Ward 9 Councilman Kevin Conwell said this is just the beginning of the growth coming to the area.


CEOCG Friendship through Reading Fun Day (10:10)

Young boys and girls who finished their year at CEOGC’s Head Start preschool program were treated to a field day celebration at Luke Easter Park. A special group of men and women were honored for taking time out of their day to spend with the kids throughout the year. 


15th Annual Arts Fur Animals (12:30)

The Friends of the Cleveland Kennel hosted the 15th Annual-and Final-Art Fur Animals Benefitting the Cleveland Kennel at the Madison on Payne Avenue. Local artists donated their creations, and attendees had a chance to enter raffles and silent auctions to win the cool cat and dog creations.


Cuyahoga 50 Spot (15:10)

This year marks 50 years since the Cuyahoga River caught on fire. To mark the milestone, Sustainable Cleveland 2019 and other area agencies will be hosting 25 different events over the celebration week- from June 19 through the 23rd, including the family-friendly all-day event on June 22nd at Rivergate Park.


Road Report (15:50)

There are road closures in the area that may already be impacting your commute, and those that are about to…

  • I-490 is currently closed between East 55th and I-77 from now through May of 2021 while construction crews work on Section 3 of the Opportunity Corridor.
  • From Friday June 14th at 8pm through 6am Monday, June 17th 77 North and Southbound lanes between I-480 and I-490 will be closed for structural work.
  • Beginning Monday, June 17th 77 North will be reduced to 2 lanes between Pershing Avenue and I-490 through September for bridge and pavement work.
  • The West 45th Street ramp for the West Shoreway is closed now and for the next 5 months while the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District continues its construction of the Westerly Storage Tunnel. Drivers on the Shoreway can access Detroit Avenue and other nearby streets by using the West 73rd or West 25th Street exit ramps.
