~     THE WEST SIDE MARKET IS UP AND RUNNING AND DOING BUSINESS AS USUAL. THIS IS JUST WEEKS AFTER THE WEST SIDE MARKET RE-OPENED THEIR DOORS AFTER A FIRE RIPPED THROUGH AND CAUSED MORE THAN A HUNDRED THOUSAND DOLLARS IN DAMAGES. ~      A MAJOR FACELIFT IS UNDERWAY IN CLEVELAND’S NORTH COLLINWOOD NEIGHBORHOOD AND IT’S ALL PART OF AN EXCITING PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN THE CITY OF CLEVELAND AND LOCAL BUSINESSES

~     THE AMERICAN LUNG ASSOCIATION AND THEIR FIGHT FOR AIR CLIMB HAS REACHED CLEVELAND ONCE MORE AND THESE STAIR CLIMBING EVENTS ARE SWEEPING THE COUNTRY AND MAKING THEIR MARK WORLDWIDE. THE CLEVELAND STAIR CLIMB TOOK PLACE AT THE HISTORIC TERMINAL TOWER WHERE 400 PLUS CLIMBERS CAME TOGETHER TO CLIMB 40 STORIES TO HELP RAISE MORE THAN $100,000 DOLLARS

~      UNITED WAY HOSTS THEIR ANNUAL LUNCHEON AND CAMPAIGN KICKOFF EXCEEDING ITS 41-MILLION DOLLAR FUNDRAISING GOAL WHERE IT WAS A 3.1-PERCENT  INCREASE OVER LAST YEARS AMOUNT AND THE CAMPAIGNS HELP TO FUND ABOUT 216 PROGRAMS IN CUYAHOGA AND GEAUGA COUNTY INCLUDING THOSE FOCUSED ON EDUCATION, FAMILY AND A HEALTHY COMMUNITY

~      THE WEST SIDE COMMUNITY HOUSE HELD THE SISTERHOOD ANTI-BULLYING CAMPAIGN TO HELP RAISE AWARENESS

~      SENIOR DAY IS COMING BACK THIS YEAR AND IT WILL BE BIGGER AND BETTER! THE CITY OF CLEVELAND CELEBRATES 24-YEARS OF THE EVENT AND WILL OFFER AN INFORMATION FAIR, PROGRAM, LUNCH AND ENTERTAINMENT. SENIOR DAY TAKES PLACE TUESDAY MAY 21ST AT CLEVELAND PUBLIC HALL AND THE PROGRAM BEGINS AT 10AM…ALL SENIORS ARE INVITED TO ATTEND

~     HOUSE BILL 99 MAKES TEXTING BEHIND THE WHEEL ILLEGAL FOR MOTORISTS OF ALL AGES AND ANYONE VIOLATING THE LAW WILL BE SUBJECT TO A FINE OF $150 DOLLARS WHERE OHIO BECAME THE 39TH STATE TO BAN TEXTING BEHIND THE WHEEL
