Saturday December 8th marks the 28th annual Mayor’s Holiday Basket Giveaway, an annual event put on by the acting Mayor of Cleveland. To date, hundreds of holiday food baskets & thousands of pounds of fresh produce have been given to Cleveland families in need during the holiday season.

Volunteers are greatly needed this year at one of three locations: the Michael Zone Recreation Center on Lorain Avenue; the Cleveland Foodbank on South Waterloo Road; and the Zelma George Recreation Center on Martin Luther King, Jr. Boulevard. Those interested in volunteering can go to http://www.city.cleveland.oh.us/node/11916 and register.
