On Tuesday, December 6, 2016 a press conference was held to announce a new partnership between the Cleveland Municipal Court and the Laura and John Arnold Foundation (LJAF).

An evidence based pre-trial risk assessment will be implemented into the Cleveland Municipal Court system as a result of this new partnership.

The tool will help judges to determine whether a defendant is a risk to the community and ought to be detained prior to their trial, or if the defendant is safe to release.
