There are some upcoming route changes and road closures to be aware of in the City of Cleveland!


East 156th Street Resurfacing

On September 24, 2019, the City will begin the East 156th Street Resurfacing Project from Trafalgar Avenue to Lakeshore Avenue.

One lane of traffic will be maintained for local traffic for the duration of this project and no detours are expected. Access to all businesses, residences and side streets will be maintained during construction. On-street parking will not be allowed during construction. The improvements include asphalt resurfacing and installation of American with Disabilities Act compliant ramps.


East 66th Street Resurfacing

On September 17, 2019, the City will begin the East 66th Street Resurfacing Project from Hough Avenue to Lexington Avenue.

One lane of traffic will be maintained for local traffic for the duration of this project and no detours are expected. Access to all businesses, residences and side streets will be maintained during construction. On-street parking will not be allowed during construction.  The improvements include asphalt resurfacing and installation of American with Disabilities Act compliant ramps.


Chatfield Avenue Resurfacing

On September 19, 2019, the City will begin the Chatfield Avenue Resurfacing Project from Rocky River Drive to West 151st Street. 

One lane of traffic will be maintained for local traffic for the duration of this project and no detours are expected. Access to all businesses, residences and side streets will be maintained during construction. On-street parking will not be allowed during construction.  The improvements include asphalt resurfacing and installation of American with Disabilities Act compliant ramps.


Scranton Road Resurfacing

On September 23, 2019, the City will begin the Scranton Road Resurfacing project (Sackett Avenue to Fairfield Avenue).  The second part of this project will take place between Valentine Avenue and Clark Avenue.

One-way, southbound traffic will be maintained on Scranton Road, between Valentine Avenue and Clark Avenue.  Northbound motorists will be detoured west onto Metrohealth Drive; then north on West 25th Street; east on Clark Avenue and then then back to Scranton Road.   

The Scranton Road construction is being administered by the Ohio Department of Transportation. Improvements include milling and asphalt resurfacing, full depth and partial depth pavement repairs, curb and walk replacements as needed and the replacement of curb ramps to bring them into compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act.  New pavement markings and signage will include dedicated bike facilities and on-street parking.
