August is National Immunization Awareness Month! To commemorate, TV20 is re-airing a 2017 episode of Healthy Cleveland.
In this episode, TV20 host Leah Longbrake sat down with Nurse Annette from the Cleveland Department of Public to discuss the importance of childhood & adulthood immunizations and vaccinations.
For newborns, the following vaccinations are recommended:
- Hepatitis B
- Diphtheria
- Tetanus
- Pertussis
- Polio
- Haemophilus Influenzae B
- Pneumococcal Conjugate
For adolescents, a different set of vaccinations is suggested:
- Menactra
- HPV
Finally, there are certain vaccinations recommended for adults:
- TDAP (Tetanus, Diptheria, & Pertussis)
- Zostavax
