Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration
The 23rd Annual Martin Luther King Jr. Day Celebration took place at the Cleveland Convention Center. They keynote speaker of the event was Chairman and CEO of Xerox, Ursula Burns, who is the first African-American woman to head a fortune 500 company.
Then, President and CEO of the Cleveland Clinic, Doctor Toby Cosgrove, presented his friend, the honorable Louis Stokes with this year’s Lifetime of Service Award.
Sustainable Cleveland 2019
It’s a new year, which means there is a new area of focus for Sustainable Cleveland 2019. Mayor Frank Jackson and the Office of Sustainability, held a Press Conference to announce what this years topic is to continue to make Cleveland a Sustainable green City on a blue lake.
Many organizations joined the Sustainable 2019 effort and spoke at the event on how they plan to be involved with this new imitative.
Cleveland City Council Health & Human Services Retreat
The Cleveland City Council Health and Human Services Retreat was held at the Cuyahoga Community College Hospitality Management Center, to create a format of open dialogue on how to solve health disparities affecting our residents, and how to make Cleveland a healthier City over-all.
CMSD Awards Luncheon
The 7th Annual Employee of the Month Recognition Luncheon, held at the East Professional Center, was an event to celebrate staff members of the Cleveland Metropolitan School District Operations Division who have shown extraordinary efforts in supporting our District.
