Affordable Care for a Healthy Cleveland: Family Health Care Day

Cleveland, Ohio – November 9, 2013 Mayor Frank G. Jackson will be hosting a forum that will explain to residents the benefits and requirements that are associated with the new A.C.A. (Affordable Care Act).  This forum will be held at Public Auditorium, 500 Lakeside Avenue, Saturday, November 9, 2013 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. During this forum attendees will have access to free health screening. The residents that attend this forum will have the opportunity to meet with Navigators and C.A.C.’s (Certified Application Counselors) that will be able to give them information on the process, and how to properly research the new benefits and programs that are now available. Every resident that is planning to attend should remember to bring information about their family size, income, current health care provider, physician, and any health concerns. If residents bring this information with them and a valid email address, they will be able to register with the Health Insurance Market Place and receive information about the enrollment process. Residents who are seeking information about Medicaid and Medicare will be able to receive information here as well.
