LED Lighting Press Conference (1:00)

Over the next 18 months, the City of Cleveland, along with Cleveland Public Power, will be replacing 61 thousand streetlights with cost-saving and energy efficient LED Streetlights as a part of their newly launched “Streetlight Conversion Program”.


143rd Police Graduation (3:20)

The 143rd Academy Class of the Cleveland Division of Police took center stage as they graduated from cadets to officers. Before administering the oath of office, Mayor Frank Jackson congratulated the cadets on all the hard work they put in and offered them these words.


St Joseph Commons Groundbreaking (5:40)

A new housing complex called St. Joseph’s Commons will be located right on West 25th Street.  The development will be run by Front Steps Housing and Services; an organization that helps the homeless. Ward 3 Councilman Kerry McCormack wants it to be known that everyone is welcome to take up residency in Ward 3.


Health and Wellness Fair

The City of Cleveland will be offering a Neighborhood Resource and Recreation Center Health and Wellness Fair at Estabrook Recreation on July 26th from 10am to 2pm. The Health and Wellness Fair provides access to important information designed to improve your health and overall well-being. The Fair will feature Free Blood Pressure and Glucose Screenings, Free Hepatitis A Vaccines, Resource Tables, Live Entertainment, Food and Refreshments.


Y.O.U. Youth Interns Interview Mayor Jackson (9:25)

The group was made up of teenagers from the Mayor’s Youth Opportunities Unlimited Summer Program. After a photo op, the Mayor sat down to be interviewed by several of the young reporters. Not everyone was a reporter however, as many of the youths made up the production team as audio engineers, camera operators and producers.


Ward 5 Festival and Parade 2019 (10:18)

The 14th Annual Ward 5 Community Festival and Parade moved to a new location this year at the intersection of East 72nd Street and Kinsman Rd. Ward 5 Councilwoman Phyllis Cleveland tells us what the community can look forward to.


Edgewater Beach Clean-Up (12:50)

Next time you’re taking a stroll or relaxing at Edgewater Beach, look around and see how clean the lake and sand is. That’s thanks to the volunteers at the monthly beach clean-ups organized by Drink Local, Drink Tap.


Art by whoisandrea (15:25)

The Magalen Art Gallery in Cleveland’s Slavic Village neighborhood is a newer space that is hoping to do more than sell and promote artists. Artist Andrea Pitts of Art By WhoIsAndrea hosted a Body Paint Fashion Show and event showcasing a variety of local talent.
